ಹೀಗೆ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ...

ಒಂದು ಬ್ಲಾಗ್ ಬರೆದು ಸುಮಾರೆ ಕಾಲ ಕಳ್ದು ಹೋತು. ಪ್ರತಿ ಕಥೆ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಓದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೂತ್ರೂ ಎಂತಾರು ಬರ್ದು ಹಾಕನ ಅನ್ಸದು ಹೌದು, ಆದ್ರೆ ಬರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕುಂತ್ರೆ ತಲೆ ಓಡ್ತಲ್ಯ, ಕೈ ಓಡ್ತಲ್ಯ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲೆ.. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಬರ್ಯಕ್ಕಂತೂ ಆಗಲ್ಲೆ.

Finally, I am here, facing my monitor, holding the keyboard.. thinking which episode of the last one year should I be writing first.. So many things have happened in 2010.. For me, most (or all) of it is great.

* Came back from US (stayed there 2 yrs (24/02/2008 -> 24/02/2010))

* Got married to Pallavi

* Got a nice bike (ie, bicycle) as Birthday gift :-p (Trek 6000D)

* Became President of our school (JNV Gajanur, Shimoga) Alumni association.

* On Professional front, Company is doing good. From 5people company when I joined, Gluster has crossed 50 people mark.

* Witnessed many good things.. like my brother (shreedhar tumballi), sister (divya tumballi) and cousin (shilpa kamalakar) got married. Many more friends shifted their club, from bachelor gang to married men club :-p

Well, on more serious issues, It was seriously disheartening to see so many scams through out the year, at all over the place in India.. Politics has gone for a toss, I didn't see not even a single productive session, both at center and state in 2010.

Its more disheartening to see that most of the village population is migrating to cities, and doing 'GodKnowsWhat' type of work instead of being on their own @ their natives.. Well, I don't blame people who migrate, rather I blame education system, government policies, corruption, media etc. If I am writing from the shoes of a fellow relative/ neighbor at native, in current situation, want my kids to study and do something else.

Btw, in recent times my mathematics skills have disappeared. I guess thats because I am getting confused about number of digits in current day values... All I knew until very recently was up to 7 to 9 digit numbers, but recent time, all the people/media around talk with minimum 6 more digits added to this number. Sad thing is, after studying hard, getting supposedly good job from the campus interview itself, and hoping I work upto my 40-50yrs, I won't make how much a politician (a minister) would make in a day, signing a deal. Really a negative force on your motivation to work in life.

But, somewhere inside me, these things are making me ask, is it enough to contribute to country/society by just paying tax and donating 1 or 2 count to it's population. Surely not!! But where to start? I have many ideas in head, but none of them yield results within minimum of 10yrs. Well, few ideologies suggest picking up gun and shooting corrupt people (most of the movies come with this concept as it makes a very good day dreaming option for people who can't do anything related to society), I am not with it, as I would have to kill 50% of the population (my honest guess is 90% but to be politically correct, i say 50% :-p), and I believe that violence in any form doesn't result in good society. (Some movies I recommend for people who think by violence they can fix the situation are Schindler's List, Hotel Rwanda, No man's land(2001) and many more in this genre (I liked Inglorious Bastards too, but thats not a historical movie).

So, what are the option with you to come out with a good society ? (which in turn will result in good country, with time). One of the things I believe which can work is, with forming a trusted group, with its members belonging to diverse occupation. Assume each one of you having two trusted group, one from your school days, and another from your work place, or professional course college. Now this can help with you with real good contacts. Lets see how.

Most of the times, your school group contains people in different fields like lawyers, doctors, teachers, bankers, engineers, farmers, retail shop owners, franchise owners, school admins etc etc.. Even though it works out bit costlier sometimes, take the service from the people you know, similarly if someone is getting help from you, and you know that person well, don't cheat, and build a trusted network, this should get you a very good contacts and should cover most of your day to day needs.

Now, build/grow the network by helping your school people by introducing them to your professional network if they are in need, and visa-versa. This helps people to increase business, get more clients, get more contacts, spread the name for themself etc etc.. I bet, this can work wonders. The concept of social networking, and I bet, it works.

As long as we think only about ourself, our family we will never grow as a country. Of-course we may help to achieve a stable country in case of global recession, political instability because everyone is taking care of them-self, but it fails when someone harms other to help himself.

Thats the reason, if you consider helping society around you, be good to yourself, make sure your family's desires are fulfilled (as long as they are in your hands).. and then also have a heart to help someone else. Never keep quite when you see some mis-doing, don't go into a confronting mode, but raise your concerns, on the spot, or even in media/blogs etc etc.. over a period, I believe your voices are heard. we can all make a difference.

I guess, Mumbai ATS (anti terror squad) was on a high due to lot of media attention on them due to this newly created word 'hindu terrorists'.. guess what.. today Mumbai came in to one of the worst terror hits, where it was not just a blast, but a gun battle and they have taken high-profile people into custody. Shame on the government which is not even talking strong against terrorism..

'ನಾನು ಏನೂ ಮಾಡದೇ ಸುಮ್ಮನೇ ಕೂರುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಆಗೋದೆಲ್ಲ ಆಗಲಿ' ಎಂದರಾಗದು. ಮಹಾಭಾರತದ ಸಂದೇಶ ಏನು? ಪಾಂಡವರು ಧರ್ಮದ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ದ ಮಾಡಿದರು; ಮನೇಲಿ ಕೂರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಬಹಳ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು ದುಡಿಮೆಗಷ್ಟೇ ಗಮನ ಕೊಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಮೀರಿ ಸಮಾಜದ ಪ್ರಗತಿಗೆ ಅವರು ಗಮನ ಕೊಡಬೇಕು. ಹಿಂದು ವಿಚಾರಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೆಂಬಲ ನೀಡಬೇಕು. ಪಶ್ಚಿಮದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಹಿಂದೂಗಳು ಹಾರ್ವರ್ಡ್, ರೆಡ್ ಕ್ರಾಸ್ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಣ ನೀಡುವ ಬದಲು ಹಿಂದೂಗಳಿಗೆ ಉತ್ತಮ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ, ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಸುಳಭ್ಯ ಒದಗಿಸಲು ಮುಂದಾಗಬೇಕು.

ನಾನು ಯಾವಾಗ ಬದಲಾದೆ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿರೋದು ನಿಜ. ನಾನು ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ (ಸುಮಾರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ) ಯಾವುದೇ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲೂ ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯನ್ನು, ಪ್ರಕೃತಿಯ ನಿಯಮಗಳನ್ನು ನಂಬುತ್ತೇನೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ದೇವರು, ಧರ್ಮ ಇವೆಲ್ಲ, ನಾವು ವಿಕಾಸವಾಗುವಾಗ ಉತ್ಪಾದನೆಗೊಂಡ sideproduct ಗಳು, ಮಾನವ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ತಿಳುವಳಿಕೆಗಳ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆ ವಿಕಾಸವಾದ ಒಂದು ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ಮಾತೆಯೇ ನನಗೆ ನಿಮಗೆ ಮತ್ತು ಆ ದೇವರಿಗೂ ಮಹಾ ತಾಯಿ.

ಸರಿ ಇದೆಲ್ಲ ಪುರಾಣ ಯಾಕೆ ಅಂತಿರಾ? ಬೇಕು ರೀ!! ಈ ಬಾಂಬ್ ಬ್ಲಾಸ್ಟ್, ಒರಿಸ್ಸಾ ಗಲಾಟೆ, ಮಂಗಳೂರು ಗಲಾಟೆ, ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ ಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಬ್ರ ಮೇಲೊಬ್ರು ಅವರವರ ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಕೊಡ್ತಾ ಇದಾರೆ, ಇಷ್ಟ ಬಂದ ಹಾಗೆ ಬರಿತಾರೆ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನಂದೂ ಒಂದು ಇರ್ಲಿ ಅಂಥ ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲಾ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ.

ಅಹಿಂಸೆ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಒಂದು ಪರಿಕಲ್ಪನೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಅದು ನಿಜವಾಗಿಯು ಸರಿಯಲ್ಲ. ನಿಜ, ನನಗೂ ಶಾಂತಿ ಇರೋಅಲ್ಲಿ, ಅಹಿಂಸೆ ಇರೋ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬದಕೊಕೆ ಇಷ್ಟ, ಅದರೇನು ಮಾಡೋದು, ಅದು ಹಿಂದೂ ಸಾದ್ಯ ಇರ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ, ಮುಂದೂ ಸಾದ್ಯ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಯೋಚನೆ ಮಾಡಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾನವ ಜನಾಂಗ ಬರಿ 50 ರಿಂದ 100 ಕೋಟಿ ಇರೋ ಆವಾಗಲೇ ನಾವು ಶಾಂತಿ ಇಂದ ಬದಕಿಲ್ಲ, ಈಗ ಭೂಮಿ ಮೆಲಿರೋದೆಲ್ಲ ತಿಂದು ಒಂದೊಂದೇ ಪ್ರಾಣಿ ಗಳ ಗತಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿ ನಾವು ಮಾತ್ರ 600 ಕೋಟಿಗೂ ಮಿಗಿಲಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದು, ಇರೋ ಬರೋ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಮೂಲಗಳೆಲ್ಲ ಖಾಲಿ ಆಗುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಶಾಂತಿ ಇಂದ ಇರಲಿಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾದ್ಯಾನ? ಪ್ರಕೃತಿ ನಿಯಮದಂತೆ 'survival of fittest', ಯಾರು ಬಲಶಾಲಿಗಳೋ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಜಯ. ಅದು ಒಂದು ಧರ್ಮ ಇರ್ಬೋದು, ಭಾಷೆ ಇರ್ಬೋದು, ದೇಶ ಇರ್ಬೋದು, ಅಥವಾ ಒಬ್ಬ ಸಾಮನ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯನೆ ಇರ್ಬೋದು. (ಬಲಶಾಲಿ ಅನ್ನೋದನ್ನ ನಿರ್ದರಿಸೋ ಬಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಇರಬಹುದು, ಎಷ್ಟು ಜನ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ (ಭಾಷೆಗೆ), ಎಷ್ಟು ಜನ ನಂಬುತ್ತಾರೆ(ಧರ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ), ಎಷ್ಟು ಜನಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಅಥವಾ ಎಷ್ಟು ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಇದೆ (ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ), ಎಷ್ಟು ದುಡ್ಡಿದೆ ಅಥವಾ ಆರೋಗ್ಯ (ಒಂದು ಜೀವಿಗೆ)).

"ದಿನ ಸಾಯುವವರಿಗೆ ಅಳುವವರು ಯಾರು" ಅನ್ನೋ ಗಾದೆ ಮಾತಿನಂತೆ ಸಾವಿಗೆ/ಹಿಂಸೆಗೆ ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಎಷ್ಟು ಒಗ್ಗಿ ಹೋಗಿದಿವಿ. ಬಾಂಬ್ ಬ್ಲಾಸ್ಟ್ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ, ಮರುದಿನ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಕಿರ್ಚ್ಕೊತಾರೆ, ಅದರ ಮರುದಿನ ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಅವರವರ ಕೆಲಸಕ್ಕೆ ಹಾಜರ್. ಬಾವನೆಗಳು ಹೊಟ್ಟೆ ತುಂಬ್ಸೋಲ್ವಲ್ಲ! ಈ ರಾಜಕಾರಣಿ ಗಳಿಗೆ ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲಸ ಇಲ್ಲ, ಯಾರೋ ಸತ್ರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ಪ್ರೆಸ್ ತೆಗೆಯೋ ಫೋಟೋಕ್ಕೆ ಪೋಸ್ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಸರ್ಕಾರ ರಾಜಿನಾಮೆ ಕೊಡ್ಬೇಕು ಅಂತ ಒಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡ್ಸಿ, ಗಲಾಟೆ ಮಾಡ್ಸಿ, ಬದಕಿರೋ ಜನ ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯರಿಗೂ ಹಿಂಸೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ವಾಪಸ್ ಮನೆಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಸೊಂಪು ತಿಂದು, ಗಡದ್ದಾಗಿ ನಿದ್ದೆ ಹೊಡಿತಾರೆ. ಇವರೇ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ನೆಡ್ಸ್ತ ಇದ್ರೆ ಉಸ್ರು ಹೊರಡ್ತಾ ಇರ್ಲಿಲ್ಲ ಗಲಾಟೆಗಳಾಗಿದ್ರೆ. ಅಬ್ಬಬ್ಬ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಬಡಪಾಯಿ ಪೋಲಿಸ್ ಇಲಾಖೆ ಅವ್ರು ಕೆಲವೊಬ್ರು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ದಿನ 'suspension' ನಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ. ಈ ಬಂದ್, ಈ ಚುನಾವಣೆ, ಇವೆಲ್ಲ ನಮ್ಮಂತ ಕಂದಾಯ ಕಟ್ಟೋ ಅವರ ದುಡ್ಡನ್ನು ಪೋಲು ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲಸ ಅಂಥ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಅನಿಸೋದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.

ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಬರಿ ಅವರವರ ಸ್ವಂತಕ್ಕೆ ನೋಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರೇ, ಪ್ರಾಣಿಗಳ ತರಹ.

ನಾನು ಹೊಡೆದಾಟಗಳನ್ನು ತುಂಬ ಹತ್ತಿರದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರಿ ನಿಂತು ನೋಡಿ ಮಜಾ ತಗೊಳೋಅವರಿಗೆ ಎಷ್ಟು ಕುಲ್ಲಕ ಕಾರಣ ಅನಿಸುತ್ತೆ, ಹೊಡೆದಾಟ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರಿಗೆ ಅದು ಅಳಿವು ಉಳಿವಿನ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಆಗಿರಬಹುದು. ಹೇಳೋದು ಬಹು ಸುಲಬ, "ಒಂದು ಕೆನ್ನೆಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದರೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಕೆನ್ನೆ ಚಾಚು" ಅಂಥ. its sooo unnatural ಅನ್ಸೊಲ್ವಾ? ನಾನೆ ಆದರೆ ತಿರಗಿ ಎರಡೂ ಕೆನ್ನೆಗೆ ಬಾರಿಸ್ತಿನಿ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ 100 ಕ್ಕೆ 99 ಜನ ವಾಪಸ್ ಹೊಡಿತಾರೆ. ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬನಿಗೆ ಕೈಲಿ ಆಗೋಲ್ಲ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ "ನಾನು ಗಾಂಧಿವಾದಿ" ಅನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ ಅಷ್ಟೆ.

"ಏನೋ ಮಗನೆ, ಹಿಂಸೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಚೋದನೆ ಕೊಡ್ತಾ ಇದ್ದೀಯ?" ಅಂತ ನೀವು ಕೇಳಿದರೆ, ನನ್ನುತ್ತರ "ಇಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ಹಿಂಸೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಜೀವನದ ಅವಿಬಾಜ್ಯ ಅಂಗ, ನಾವೇ ಕಂಡು ಹಿಡಿದ ಗನ್/ಬಾಂಬ್ ಇದೆ, ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅದು ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸಲ್ಪಡುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಇಲ್ದೆ ಹೋದ್ರೆ, ಕತ್ತಿ, ಖಡ್ಗ, ಕಲ್ಲು, ಮುತದವು ಗಳಲ್ಲೇ ಹೊಡದಾಡ್ತಿದ್ವಿ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬರು ಅವರವರ ಆಸ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ, ಅವರವರ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಉಳಿವಿಗೆ ಹೊಡೆದಾಡಲೇ ಬೇಕು". ನನಗೆ ಭಾರತ ಇಷ್ಟ, ಬೇರೆ ಎಲ್ಲ ದೇಶಗಳು ನನಗೆ ಪರದೇಶವಾಗೆ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತೆಯೇ, ಯಾವತ್ತಿಗಾದರು ಭಾರತದ ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರೋ ಯುದ್ದ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಹೊಡೆದಾಡಲು ತಯಾರು, ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ನಾನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗಿನಿಂದ ಭಾರತಾಂಬೆ, ಭಾರತ ಮಾತೆ ಎಂದು ಓದಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ಅಮ್ಮನ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ನಾನು ಸಿದ್ದ. ಅಂತೆಯೇ ನನ್ನ ಬೇರೆ ಹಲವಾರು ನಂಬಿಕೆಗಳು. ನನ್ನ ರೀತಿಯೇ ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನದ ಪ್ರಜೆ ಕೂಡ ಅವನ ದೇಶದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಈ ಬಾವನೆ ಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅದೂ ಕೂಡ ತಪ್ಪಲ್ಲ. its so natural that animals will have affinity to where they belong. ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಧರ್ಮ ಕೂಡ ಕೆಲ್ಸಕ್ಕೆ ಬರಲ್ಲ.. ನಾವು ಒಂದೊಂದು ಧರ್ಮ ಪಾಲಿಸಬಹುದು, ಆದರೆ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏನು ಹೇಳಿದೆ ಅನ್ನೋದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಗೋದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ, ನಾವು ಏನು ಅನ್ಕೊತಾ ಇದಿವೋ ಅದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ. ನನ್ನ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಭಾರತ ಒಂದು ದೇಶ ಆಗಿರೋದಕ್ಕೆ ಕಾರಣ ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮ, ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ನನಗೆ ಅದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ಆಗುತ್ತೆ. ಅದಿಲ್ಲ ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಯಾರೋ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರೋ ಒಬ್ಬ ನನಗೆನಾಗ ಬೇಕು? ನನಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿ ಬರಲ್ಲ, ಅವನಿಗೆ ಕನ್ನಡ ಬರಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಮನೇಲಿ ಆಚರಿಸೋ ಹಬ್ಬಗಳೇ ಬೇರೆ, ಅವನ ಸಂಸ್ಕೃತಿನೆ ಬೇರೆ. ಆದರೆ ನಾವು ಒಂದಾಗಿರೋಕ್ಕೆ, ಬೇರೆ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಅವನು ಬಾರತೀಯ ಅನ್ನೋಕೆ, ಹಿಂದೂ ದರ್ಮ ಕಾರಣ. now don't tell me that because british ruled us for 100+ years we became one country, thats a joke, british ruled 20-30 more such countries, why didn't we all become one country called UQ (under queen) country? ಇದು ನನ್ನ ದಿಟ್ಟ ನಂಬಿಕೆ. ಕಾಶ್ಮೀರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಭೂಮಿ ವಿಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಗಲಾಟೆ, ಸುಮ್ನೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಬೇಕು, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಜನರಿಗೆ ಬಿಡಬೇಕು ಅವರ ವಿಚಾರನ ಅಂಥ ಕೆಲವೊಬ್ರು ಹೇಳೋದು ಕೇಳ್ದೆ. ಎಂಥಾ ತಮಾಷೆ, ಭಾರತ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ ಸಂಗ್ರಾಮ ಯಾಕಾಯ್ತು? ಕಾರ್ಗಿಲ್ ಯುದ್ದ ಯಾಕೆ ಬೇಕಿತ್ತು? "ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಭೂಮಿ ತಾನೆ, ಸುಮ್ನೆ ಕೊಡ್ಬೋದಿತ್ತು. ಚೀನಾ ಜೊತೆ ಯಾಕೆ ಗಲಾಟೆ, ಏನೋ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಗಡಿ ಈ ಕಡೆ ಅವ್ರು ಬಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟಿದಾರೆ, ಏನೋ ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ adjust ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಳೋಣ, ಅವ್ರಿಗೆ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಡಿ, ಬೆಳಗಾವಿಲಿ ಯಾಕ್ರೀ ಹೊಡೆದಾಟ, ಬರಿ ಒಂದು ಜಿಲ್ಲೆ ಅವ್ರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಂತೆ, ಕೊಡ್ರಿ". ನಾನು ಒಪ್ಪಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಎಲ್ಲ ಜಾಗಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ನನಗೆ ಒಂದು ಒಲವಿದೆ. ಆ ಒಲವಿಗಾಗಿ ನನ್ನ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಇದೆ. ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ನನ್ನ ಬೆಂಬಲ ಹಿಂದೂ ದರ್ಮಕ್ಕಿದೆ. ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತು, ಈ ಜಾತಿ ದರ್ಮ ದೇಶ ಎಲ್ಲ ನಾವೇ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಒಂದು ನಿಯಮ ಅಂತ, ಅವೆಲ್ಲ ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಿಟ್ರೆ ಜೀವನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನೇನಿದೆ, ದಿನ ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಏಳು, ತಿನ್ನು, ದುಡಿ, ತಿನ್ನು, ಅವಕಾಶ ಆದ್ರೆ ಬೇರೆ ಗೆಳೆಯರನ್ನ ಬೇಟಿ ಆಗು, ತಿನ್ನು, ಕುಡಿ, (ಅವಕಾಶ ಆದ್ರೆ, ಮದುವೆ ಆಗಿದ್ರೆ, ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಜೀವಿಯ ಜೊತೆ) ಮಲಗು. ಇದು ಬೇರೆ ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಸ್ತನಿ ಪ್ರಾಣಿಯ ದಿನಚರಿಯಿಂದ ಏನು ವ್ಯತ್ಯಾಸ??

ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ನನಗೆ ಮತಾಂತರ ತಪ್ಪು ಅನಿಸುತ್ತೆ, ಇಸ್ಲಾಂ ಮುಲಬೂತವಾದ ಇಷ್ಟ ಆಗೋಲ್ಲ. ಇನ್ನೂ ನೂರು, ಇನ್ನೂರು, ಸಾವಿರ ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಕಾಲ ಭಾರತ ಭಾರತವಾಗೆ ಇರಬೇಕು ಅಂದ್ರೆ ಇವು ನಿಲ್ಲಬೇಕು, ಹಿಂದೂ ಧರ್ಮ ಗಟ್ಟಿಯಾಗ ಬೇಕು. ಇದು ನನ್ನ ಸದ್ಯದ ಅಚಲ ನಂಬಿಕೆ. ಯಾವತ್ತಿಗೂ ನಾನು ತಿಳಿದವರ ಮಾತುಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಗೌರವದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅನಿಸಿಕೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿ, ನನ್ನ ತಪ್ಪಿದ್ದರೆ, ಮೊದಲೇ ದಡ್ಡ ಶಿಕಾಮಣಿ ನಾನು, ಕಲಿತು ಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆದರೆ ತಿದ್ದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತೇನೆ.

Independence day

People wish me "Happy independence day", i wish them back saying 'same to you'. Well. I understand Independence is a important factor. But surely, I don't feel so 'happy' about Independence day any more. The main reason for it is not independence itself, but the fact is its already 62nd Independence Day, which bugs me the most.

You may ask what is wrong with it.. well, I would say 62years is a long time, and surely I don't believe our country has achieved something great in these years. I see more problems than goods, more challenges in front of us than before. Instead of solving problems we are creating them.

Let me list few points I would consider as failures:

* more divide in the nation on basis of religion/caste/subcastes : Thanks to our politicians and so called secular people, our country is not yet secular. We don't have uniform law for the land, we still have reservations (rather we are adding more reservation).

* look at the image of govt offices in common man: 'give them bribe, your work will be done' i haven't seen any change this behavior in last 60years. corruption is at the core of whole system. Sad to see that our judicial system is also not free of it.

* The divide between rich and poor, city and village has increased over the years, and population control is surely not working.

* I have heard people comparing India with China.. well I would say its a joke, in no sense we are ahead of them at this time (not sure of population, but surely ahead in population density). They win gold after gold in olympics and we feel so proud that we won ONE gold medal.

* I don't see people achieving big at international level in any sports. (Well cricket is THE GAME of India, and we loose there hopelessly too). Country of 1billion haven't yet participated in Football worldcup, no grandslam winner in tennis.. sad.

* People keep sending mails saying Indians are in high number in US (ie, like in NASA, number of doctors, number of software leads), have you thought how many of them come back to India? hardly 0.01% of them. What does that mean? our country has failed to keep them, rather attract them back.

* Our cities are built without much plan and roads are over crowded.

* India still has energy deficiency. we are not independent for our energy needs.

* Not much of growth in tourism. (Naturally India is so great that, people love to visit it even though we have all these problems). Lot of tourist attractive places are crowded by either beggars or monkeys, and sad to mention, with plastic waste.

* Indian brands are not popular inside India only. I know how much of hungama foreign companies make to enter indian market, just because we buy their stuff, where as Indian companies need to struggle in India and goto Africa and Latin america to sale their stuff. Why the Indian companies are not 'cool' compared to foreign brands?


The list of problems goes on and on. If you ask me after mentioning this list, "d00d, you went to US, and now you talk like a foreigner? what is this?", I know, after coming here, I started loving India more. And surely I want to get back as soon as possible. Just for doing my bit of work to solve at least one of the above mentioned points.

I am thinking of entering politics too.. and I plan to change my last name. Hope you guessed it right.. it will be "Gandhi", so I can become Prime minister instead of just and MP or MLA.

ಅಂತೂ ಇಂತು ಕರುನಾಡ ಚುನಾವಣೆ ಮುಗ್ದು, ಪಲಿತಾಂಶ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗುವ ಗೊತಾಗಿ ಹೊತು. ಎಮ್ ಪಕ್ಕದ್ದೂರವ್ರೆ ಆದ ಯೆಡ್ಡ್ಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿ ಆಗೊದು ಖಚಿತ. ಬರಿ 3 ಜನರನ್ನ ಹೊರ್ಗಿಂದ ಎಳ್ಕಳಕ್ಕು. ಅದೂ ಗಟ್ಟಿಮಾಡಿದ್ವಡ. ಒಟ್ಟಾರೆ ಇನೈದು ವರ್ಷ ಎಮ್ ಕಂದಾಯೆಲ್ಲ ಸರಿ ಉಪ್ಯೋಗ ಆಗ್ತೇನ ಹೇಳಿ ಒಂಚೂರು ಆಸೆ. ವಿಚಾರೆಂತು ಕೇಳಿರೆ, ಎಮ್ ಜಾತ್ಯಾತೀತ ಭಾರತದ ಕೆಲವೊಂದು ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ಚಾನಲ್ಲೊರು ಜಾತಿವಾರು ಸಚಿವರ ಪಟ್ಟಿ ಬಿತ್ತರ್ಸ್ತ ಇದ್ವಡ :o ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ವರ್ಷ ಎಲ್ಲಾತ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳ್ದು, ಬೇರ್ಬೇರೆ ಊರಗೆ ಇದ್ದು, ಎಂಗೆ ಜಾತಿನೆ ಇಲ್ಲೆ ಅಂತ ಅಂದ್ಕಂಡು, ಹಂಗೆ ಬದ್ಕಣ ಹೇಳಿರು ಜನ ಬಿಡ್ತ್ವಲ್ಲೆ, ನೀ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣ, ನೀ ಹವ್ಯಕ ಅಂತ ನೆನ್ಪು ಮಾಡ್ಸನೆ ಇರ್ತ. ಯಾವತ್ತಿಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಅರ್ಜಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾತಿ ಅನ್ನೊದು ತೆಗಿಯಕ್ಕೆ ಸಾದ್ಯನೊ ಗೊತ್ತಿಲ್ಲೆ. ವಾರ್ತಾ ಕೊಂಡಿಗಳನ್ನ ಒದಿರೆ ಯಾರೊ ಗುಜ್ಜಾರ್ ಹೇಳ ಜನ್ವಡ, ಅವ್ರ ಜಾತಿನ ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಜಾತಿ ಪಟ್ಟಿಗೆ ಸೆರ್ಸಕ್ಕು ಹೇಳಿ ಕಂಡಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹಚ್ಚ್ತಾ ಇದ್ವಡ. ಹೌದು ತಗ, ತೀರ ಈ ತರ ಮಾಡೊರು ಹಿಂದುಳಿದ ಜನ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳ್ಲಕ್ಕು. ತೀರ ನಮ್ ದೇಶದಗೆ ಮಾತ್ರನೇನ, ನನ್ನ ಕೆಲ್ಸ ಬೇರೆಯೊರು ಮಾಡ್ಕೊಡಕ್ಕು, ಎನ್ ಕೈಲಿ ಹರಿತಲ್ಲೆ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳದು. ಹೇಳಕ್ಕೊದ್ರೆ ಮಹಾಭಾರತ ಆಗೊಗ್ತು, ಚಾಪೆ ಹಾಸಿ, ಕೈಲಿ ಲೋಟ ಹಿಡ್ಕಂಡು ಇನ್ನೊಂದಿನ ಮಾತಾಡಣ.

ಭಾಜಾಪ ನನಗೆ ಮೊದಲಿಂದ ಇಷ್ಟವಾದ ಪಕ್ಷ, ಈಗ ಅದಿಕಾರ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಂಗೆ ಆಡಳಿತ ನೆಡ್ಸ್ತ ನೋಡಣ. ರಾಜ್ಯ ಭಾಜಾಪದ ಸರ್ವರಿಗೂ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳು.
